In our busy modern-day lives, there are few opportunities to be at one with nature in a genuinely wild space. To practise, learn and relax in such a place is a dream come true.
Located at 1000m altitude, the chalet sits peacefully above the traditional French farming village. The building dates from about 1900 and was restored in 2010.
A beautifully renovated old school, the architecture incorporates new wooden beams with the ancient stonework of the building.
The garden hosts a secret custom made wooden Jacuzzi where the guests can relax after a long day in the mountains.
The interior of the chalet is designed for relaxation. Six and a half spacious bedrooms are all ensuite with newly fitted bathrooms; a unique dining hall with a wooden knights table is perfect for sociable mealtimes; comfy indoor and outdoor seating areas provide hidden areas to relax;
Balconies present stunning mountain views; a large terrace and garden offer a wood fired hot-tub; and the ground floor hosts a secret spacious studio away from the main areas of the chalet.
Step out the front door and within a few metres you can be on a forest trail hiking to one of the impressive viewpoints of the area, such as La Tête d’Eléphant (a rock which due to its shape is named the Elephant’s head) for views of St Jean d’Aulps, the Roc d’Enfer and Mont Blanc.
In winter the area is a skiing destination, whilst in summer it slows to a more relaxed pace, attracting
visitors for a plethora of activities, such as hiking, biking, lake sports, paragliding and rock climbing.
There is plenty of space for everyone, and the clear blue skies and temperate climate is perfect for
exercise.
