On this special 10th edition of Chamonix Yoga Festival everyone is welcomed to celebrate and connect through a common love of yoga and nature.
During the three days of the festival you will be able to join a wonderful array of yoga classes, breathwork and meditation workshops, dance sessions, tea ceremonies and massage sessions. Festival entry is flexible and you have the option to join just a single class or buy a 1, 2 or 3 day pass, depending on what suits you best.
This year Chamonix Yoga Festival is being held entirely outside, beside the magnificent presence of Mont Blanc. The focus of the festival is on finding joy in simplicity, engaging in inspiring encounters and reconnecting with your body through movement and play.
Leading yoga teachers and holistic professionals will be attending from around the world to lead classes in a multitude of disciplines and practices. There will be sessions for all abilities and abundance of new things to discover.
The festival is to be held in the heart of the town in Chamonix and the festival programme will begin on the friday evening. It will start with an opening ceremony to honour the land and will be followed by gong meditation, music and massage.
Later on you are invited to engage in the moving meditation of Temple Night. Held under Moroccan tents, your senses will be stimulated and curiosity awakened for the rest of the festival.
Over Saturday and Sunday Animal Yoga Flow, Zenthai Shiatsu, Vinyasa, Yoga Nidra, Ecstatic Dance, Song Circles and Yin Sound Baths are examples of just some of the classes and practices that will be available for you to attend and enjoy. Each of which will be led by highly experienced instructors from all over the world.
During the day there will also be fun activities for children to take part in whilst the adults relax and soak in the magical atmosphere!
Spend time between classes browsing and buying from the annual Zen Market. There you will find an amazing selection of stalls selling arts, crafts and fares made by local artisans.
The market will exhibit accessories and art pieces, natural cosmetics and oils as well as organic yoga clothes and props. There will also be massage and beauty treatments to have, raw chocolate workshops to partake in and Ayurvedic medicine to learn about.
For food and beverages you will also find an organic-raw coffee shop and an organic and vegan lunch menu available.
Chamonix Yoga Festival has partnered with two excellent accommodations close to the festival location that they highly recommend for your stay.
The first is HI Hostel, which offers private and shared rooms with 2, 4 and 6 beds options. This is a fantastic choice for festival goers as there is a shuttle to the centre of Chamonix that runs every half an hour. HI Hostel’s partnership with the festival also means guests attending will get a lovely discount on their stay.
Next there is The Rocky pop hotel, Located in the centre of Les Houches and only five minutes from downtown Chamonix. Incredibly affordable and excellently connected by public transport, this is a perfect choice for the festival weekend.

Yogi Blanche is the founder of Chamonix Yoga Festival. She is an inhabitant of the beautiful mountain town and began running the festival 10 years ago. Blanche has been practising massage and holistic therapy since 2006, has many accolades to her name and is known around the world for her work.
The yoga teachers and practitioners that facilitate the festival are hand picked for their experience, reputation and wisdom. Amongst them are specialists and instructors who are greatly respected in their field, many of whom return to Chamonix every year specifically for this festival.
Yes, you can. All levels are welcome at the Chamonix Yoga Festival.
Normally summers are dry and warm in Chamonix. Expect cooler temperatures in the morning and evening and always ensure you bring some light, protective clothing in case of rain or cooler weather. In case of doubt, do check the weather forecast before leaving: https://en.chamonix.com/weather
We would highly recommend attending this event by yourself. It’s a great opportunity to create sacred space for yourself, to take a break from daily responsibilities, to make new friends and gain a fresh perspective. Typically attendees range in ages between 25-65. If you travel with kids, there is a special child care with activities for 3+ years olds too.
There are plenty of activities available for non-yogis, both on and off the mountain side. The town itself offers a variety of activities, restaurants, shops, cafes, history, quaint streets and parks etc. There are also the cable cars of Aiguille du Midi, Le Bréventm Montenvers Mer de Glace train and the little red train around the town.

Currency is Euros. Most restaurants and shops take Maestro and Visa and Mastercard credit cards. We advise cash payments in some smaller cafés/restaurants.
