Spend a week in an eco-responsible village situated in the picturesque valley of Valais at an altitude of 1200 meters.
The charming wooden chalets, built using local larch wood, will provide a cozy home-like feeling. The minimalist design and comfortable interiors of the chalets will help you relax, while the stunning mountain views outside will take your breath away.
With three bedrooms and two bathrooms in each chalet, you'll have ample space and natural light. Your private terrace with a mesmerizing view of the Rhone valley and Lake Geneva on the horizon will complete your idyllic cabin.
Enjoy the unique concept of "wild cuisine" served by Chef Jérémie and his team three times a day, made from local products and wild harvests.
Throughout this weeklong course, you will learn various botanical drawing techniques from the artist Işık Güner and receive one-on-one guidance to perfect your skills.
Get started by getting inspiration from exploring the local flora and gathering samples at the botanical garden, on the first morning of the retreat, before returning to the studio for the afternoon session.
The next two days will be spent in the studio, from 10am to 4pm, allowing the participants to enjoy the creative process without distraction, slowly getting into fine details. The forth day will offer a half day break with an inspiring forest walk, followed by an afternoon in the studio. The last full day at the studio will be dedicated to fine details and demonstrations of other techniques by Işık.
By the end of the week, you will have a collection of beautiful artwork that captures the flora of the Swiss alps.
You will have the opportunity to visit the inspiring La Thomasia Alpine Botanical Garden, accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide.
Nestled in the heart of the Vaud Alps at an elevation of 1260 meters, the garden is situated near the expansive Pont-de-Nant pasture and the awe-inspiring Grand Muveran wall, which soars over 3000 meters high.
Having been established in 1891, La Thomasia is among the oldest continuously operating Alpine gardens in existence. With a diverse collection of 2000 alpine plants sourced from mountain ranges around the world, the garden places a special emphasis on showcasing species native to the Vaud Alps, such as the striking Alpine pulsatilla.
One morning of our retreat will be dedicated to a peaceful stroll through the nearby mountain region, where we will immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the season.
Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, we will safely harvest wild edible plants, further connecting with the surrounding environment.
To conclude our forest walk, we will be treated to a special lunch in an authentic, centuries-old Swiss barn.

Sukha Retreats were created by Christina Spire, who is passionate about yoga, art, and personal development.
After experiencing a disruptive expatriation, and a new life as an expat-wife in Switzerland, she discovered the transformative power of yoga with the help of inspiring teachers.
Christina also studied botanical illustration and explored personal development tools to overcome the dark moments and challenges.
All these inspired her to create Sukha Retreats, a platform where she can welcome and inspire others and share the positive influence these passions and experiences have had on her life.
