Experience the wonder of nature and adventure with Days Away's guided outdoor excursions
Jason and Vivien are the founders of Days Away Adventures, an outdoor pursuits company. Jason has a rock climbing and mountaineering background and is an International Mountain Leader and first aid instructor.
Vivien is also an International Mountaineering Leader and has led expeditions abroad. Both regularly update their skills with Continuing Professional Development Training and First Aid qualifications.
They love to share their passion for the outdoors and help clients achieve their goals and explore beautiful landscapes.
Embark on a journey of mindfulness with Vivien and Ollie. You will be guided in Shinrin Yoku, a Japanese technique of forest bathing to slow down and connect with mother nature.
Experience tranquility, rejuvenate your mind, and deepen your meditation practice. Take in the forest's sights, sounds, and smells as you allow yourself to be fully immersed in the natural environment.
Join Vivien for a medium-difficulty walk in the afternoon and learn about the workings of an Alpage. She will guide you through the beautiful alpine landscape, providing information on the flowers, cows, and traditional alpine life.
The walk will conclude at a mobile milking parlor, where you will meet the beautiful Abondance cows and taste some delectable cheese made from their milk.
Scheduled open snowshoe walks are offered in Morzine, Les Gets, St. Jean d'Aulps and Seytroux. Private snowshoe walks can also be arranged for groups, allowing for a personalised experience at a preferred time and schedule.
An additional option is the evening torchlit snowshoe walk, providing a unique experience of exploring the snow under the light of torches, starting at sunset and ending under the stars. Both open and private group sessions are available for this option.
Experience the natural flavours of the forest while learning new cooking techniques.
Participate in a leisurely walk with Vivien, where you will learn about the various edible plants and trees that can be found in the local area near Morzine.
Afterward, take the fresh ingredients to the kitchen of Gourmet Ski in Morzine, where Chef Richard will guide you safely on how to incorporate them into delicious culinary creations.
Join Vivien on a guided walk and be inspired by local artist Kimberly Francis as she leads a creative art lesson using various techniques and mediums. You will get to visit different locations and explore the natural beauty of the area, whether it's mountains-capes, flowers, cows, or waterfalls.
Art materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. This is an opportunity to tap into your creative side and create something unique.
