This special four day retreat is held at the beautiful Thaler's Mariandl hotel nestled in the Austrian Alps. It offers the perfect package to help you escape from the stresses and strains of everyday life.
If you are looking to unwind in the mountains, indulge in delicious seasonal and regional food whilst practicing yoga, meditation and mindfulness then look no further.
Breathe in the fresh mountain air, hike through stunning and unique terrain, swim in crystal clear lakes and draw strength and energy from nature, so you can return home fully rejuvenated.
During the retreat you will stay for three nights at the exquisite Thalers Mariandl hotel, located in the wellness paradise of Rohrmoos, Schladming - Austria.
The hotel is perfectly designed to enable total comfort and there are a variety of double and single rooms available to stay in. You will also be able to use the luxurious spa which includes 3 different saunas, giving you the option to book in for a massage or simply relax and find zen on your own.
Besides the exceptional quality of the hotel’s facilities the views are picture perfect and you will be able to look out and spot the magical Dachstein Mountain. Seasonal vegetarian cuisine is the finishing touch to the perfect retreat and buffet breakfast, packed lunch and three course evening menus will all be provided.
Each day of this retreat will include yoga classes and meditation sessions, most of which will be held in the hotel’s beautifully designed yoga studio.
A particularly special meditation session will be led on the mountain top itself. This immersion in nature will then be continued at a yoga and smudging ceremony held on a separate day next to a mountain lake.
As well as finding inner peace you will be able to hone new skills during a herbal workshop - to be held on one day by a herbal specialist.
The yoga programme is entirely beginner friendly and you will be in the very capable hands of Romana Schwaiger, a highly experienced yoga teacher and organiser of the retreat. Your safety will always come first and the programme is also easily adaptable should the weather prohibit any outside activities.
This retreat offers you the perfect balance of mindfulness and activity and, alongside meditation and yoga classes, you will embark on two guided hikes in the forests and mountains.
These mindful hikes are the perfect time to fully embrace the peace and tranquility to be found in the Alps and on one of the hikes you will take a cable car up the mountain side and walk at a higher altitude in order to fully experience the magnificent scenery.
Other outdoor activities will include forest bathing and an incense ritual for the summer solstice.
To hike on this retreat you will only need beginner to moderate hiking fitness which will allow you to walk for 2-3 hours a day. As with yoga and meditation activities, if the weather is too stormy, rainy or cold the programme will be adapted to suit.
Part of the famous region of Schladming, Rohrmoos is the ideal destination to escape to when you need to get away from life’s hectic hustle and bustle.
Lying at a higher altitude than the town below (which is full of cafes and restaurants), Rohrmoos’ elevation allows for breathtaking views and endless outdoors activities.
In the summer you have incredible options to hike across the peaks or through lush meadows and forests, which you can end with taking a dip in a crystal clear mountain lake.
In the winter you can involve yourself with everything snow; be it downhill skiing, cross country ski touring or snowshoeing, there is a perfect winter sport for everyone.

Using yoga as the perfect supplement to endurance, fitness and strength, Romana embarked on a journey of teacher training in India and, upon her return, was begged by her friends to teach them how to practice yoga as well.
Romana decided to combine her passion for nature with her love of yoga and has been hosting guided retreats ever since. The retreats she offers in the Alps provide the most wonderful combination of mindfulness, outdoor activity and exploration to help you experience the epitome of wellness.
