Katie brings 10 years of teaching yoga together with an enthusiasm for outdoor sports and dedication to holistic health to offer classes that are enjoyable, effective and relevant
Katie began practicing yoga as a university student in 2008. Although she attended the first class with the intention of cross-training for rock climbing, the fluid movements, combined with attention to anatomical detail had her completely hooked.
As Katie's body began to respond and react to the physical practice, she began to notice how her mind was also benefitting. Katie undertook a variety of teacher training programmes, beginning with Vinyasa flow and expanding to include Yoga for Children with Rainbow Kids Yoga, Pre & Post- Natal Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and then deepened her knowledge by being trained as a massage therapist.
For Katie, yoga has always been a very playful practice, an opportunity to look at and experience things from a new perspective. For this reason she has enjoyed trying different styles, including acro yoga and partner yoga.
Katie loves that there is no equipment needed, your breath, your body and focus. Yoga can be practiced anywhere, at any time, and anyone can do it.
